The German-American Surgery Center, Praxisklinik Michel, was founded in 1997.
The leaders of our team are Helen C. Michel, M.D. and Dr. med. Stephan Michel.

Dr. Helen Cutler Michel was born and raised in New York City and studied medicine at the State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center, where she obtained her degree in 1984. She did her general surgical training at North Shore University Hospital - Cornell University Medical College and her plastic surgical training at State University of New York - Kings County Medical Center and completed her plastic surgical training there in July of 1991.After taking the boards in Germany she also became recognized as a plastic surgeon in Germany as well and has been in private practice there since then.The broad experience of her American training allows her to offer a complete spectrum of plastic and aesthetic surgical procedures.
The cooperation with Dr. med. Stephan Michel,
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, brings with it a completeness to our program of facial surgery allowing us to offer contour improvement procedures and dental implantology.

Dr. med. Betzer, the anesthesiologist of Praxisklinik Michel, allows us to offer our patients a choice of the type of anesthesia desired, ranging from simple local, to local combined with sedation, to regional anesthesia, to computer-titrated general anesthetics, as appropriate to the individual needs of the patient and the procedure, in order to assure maximum comfort.

The technical and safety features of Praxisklinik Michel meet the latest standards of the Coordinating Office of the German Medical Committee for Quality Assurance in Ambulatory Surgery.
